Project Details

The historic Seabet Building, constructed in 1931, was modernized for the Department of Materials Science and Engineering. Its renovation and infill addition preserved the beauty and charm of Seabet while transforming it into a research and learning space that is collegial, open, and collaborative. Amenities include a large-instruction classroom, a 1,960-square-foot collaborative learning computer classroom, light-filled teaching and research labs with shared modular spaces, postdoctoral areas, faculty offices, and meeting rooms.
